My name is Ziwei Li, founder of Wei Good Food. I moved to the US from China at age 3, and growing up, I was always stuck between my two cultures. I may have spoken English, but I didn’t feel 100% American.
Over time, I learned to embrace what makes me unique. Being in-between two cultures unlocked an amazing world of cultural and culinary possibilities!
It was then that I realized my experience wasn’t unique (in the very best way). Millions of Asian-Americans grew up with similar upbringings, and we all learned to adapt, learn, and thrive.
Wei Good Food is my humble attempt at capturing that awesome power and making food that represents our experience. My hope is that we continue to embrace what makes us special.
After all, it’s our story, our food!
